DR. SCHUESSLER'S BLOG
Neurofeedback is a sophisticated form of Biofeedback which helps the brain function with greater control and stability. It provides you with information about your brain's electrical activity (brain waves). As a result of receiving this information, your brain will learn to re-organize and self-correct. This process leads to positive changes in your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Clients typically report a reduction in anxiety and depression, increased ability to focus and concentrate as well as improved sleep patterns.
During a typical session, you will sit in front of a computer. A few tiny sensors will be placed on your scalp, ears, and an earlobe. You will listen to music and watch images on a computer screen. Most clients report that they find their sessions pleasant and relaxing.
Since beginning my work with Neurofeedback, I've observed the following kinds of outcomes: cessation of migraines, an increase of 20 points on the IQ score of an adolescent, greater ability to focus in children and adults, improved physical balance in older adults, a decrease in anxiety and depression, and improvement in sleep patterns in numerous clients. While I can't promise these exact results for all of my clients, I feel encouraged that this tool can help you improve in areas that were previously problematic. While Neurofeedback may seem like a big investment,
we can assess your progress session by session to make sure that you are improving.
The following is a partial list of results that may occur with Neurofeedback Training:
There are many types of Neurofeedback to choose from. I use NeurOptimal, the most advanced Neurofeedback technology available. NeurOptimal has many advantages, unlike other systems, it provides feedback on all brainwave frequencies at one time, allowing for the most comprehensive training possible, while eliminating the risk of side effects that can result from other types of Neurofeedback training.
